TORONTO, June 1, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sierra Gold Corporation (Other OTC:SGCP.PK - News) today announced that the May gold production yielded over 75 troy ounces of gold. The first five months of production in 2009 have increased more than 75% over the entire gold production of 2008.
As of today, Sierra Gold has been upgraded by Pink Sheets. The company has supplied Pink Sheets with new financial and share structure data that was required in order to qualify for the upgrade.
Sierra Gold is pleased to announce the appointment of a new director, Paulus Bairoh, who has replaced Bai Kamara. Mr. Bairoh is a Sierra Leonean and son of a Paramount Chief.
